General terms and conditions of sale and Rules of procedure

General terms and conditions of sale

1 : Purpose

The present terms and conditions automatically govern all sales of holidays made by the Côté Vercors campsite, in particular those made via the campsite’s website.

2 : Acceptance of the general conditions and internal regulations

By reserving a pitch and/or accommodation at the campsite, the customer acknowledges that he/she has fully read and accepted the General Terms and Conditions of Sale and the internal regulations indicated below and displayed at the campsite.

3 : Booking

Booking conditions

The customer undertakes to book a holiday in his or her own name and on his or her own behalf and to occupy the accommodation or camping pitch selected during the holiday. The accommodation may not be transferred or sublet.
Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
The campsite reserves the right to refuse access to the campsite for the following reasons: to groups or families arriving with a number of participants greater than the capacity of the pitch or accommodation rented; to customers with a camper van or caravan whose actual dimensions have not been specified or are not those indicated by the customer at the time of booking.
In accordance with article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the sale of accommodation services is not subject to the 14-day cooling-off period.

How to book

Booking via the website:
In the case of bookings made via the Internet, the booking is not binding until the deposit has been paid and a written booking confirmation has been received summarising all the information relating to the holiday.
Booking by telephone or e-mail:
The customer may place an option on an accommodation or pitch by telephone or e-mail. When this option is placed, the campsite will send the customer the General Terms and Conditions and the internal regulations in order to obtain their agreement. This option is valid for 7 days from receipt of the option contract by the customer, at the end of which time the option will be withdrawn by the campsite.
If the customer confirms the option and pays the deposit within the specified period, the option becomes a reservation, subject to the customer receiving the campsite’s confirmation e-mail.

Payment of reservation and balance

For rental accommodation, a deposit of 30% is payable at the time of booking and the balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the start of the holiday.
For pitches: for a reservation of one night, the total amount of the stay must be paid. For stays of more than one night, a deposit is payable at the time of booking, which varies according to the amount and duration of the stay (fixed rate of €30 or 30% of the total amount of the stay). The balance of the stay must be paid on arrival at the campsite at the latest.
In all cases, the deposit will be deducted from the total amount of the order.

4 : Services

For pitches

A pitch accommodates the customer’s tent, caravan, camper van or converted van. The price of the customer’s stay is calculated on the basis of a basic package for 1 to 2 people and, beyond that, according to the number of participants.
The price includes access to the facilities and a 6-amp electricity connection. Additional costs (extra people, 10-amp electricity, pets, etc.) are not included in the price and will be added to the price.
The maximum capacity is 6 people. Only one vehicle is permitted per pitch.

For rentals

The basic package is for 1 to 6 people, depending on the type of accommodation. Additional costs (pets, hire of sheets and towels, etc.) are not included in the basic package and will be added to it.
An inventory of fixtures is given to the customer on arrival. This will enable any anomalies to be reported the same day. If this document is not returned to reception, the accommodation will be considered to be in satisfactory condition, both in terms of equipment and cleanliness.

5 : Prices

The applicable price will be set according to the tariff in force at the time of booking. The prices indicated are in euros and include all taxes (TTC) and do not include tourist tax.

6 : Payment

The following methods of payment are accepted:
– Credit card (Carte Bleue, VISA or Mastercard)
– National or international bank transfer
– Cash (euros)
– ANCV holiday vouchers (paper and ANCV Connect)
If holiday vouchers are used to pay the deposit, they must be duly completed (surname, first name, company address) and sent to the campsite by post.
Bank cheques are accepted for payment of the deposit. We do not accept bank cheques less than 30 days before the start of the holiday.

7 : Cancellation and amendment insurance

The price of the holiday does not include cancellation insurance. This is optional and is offered at the time of booking. Cancellation insurance can only be taken out at the time of the initial booking request. The customer undertakes to take note of the general terms and conditions of insurance offered at the time of the initial booking.
Changes are possible for the current season and are subject to availability.
In the event of an extension to the initial stay, the customer is asked to notify reception 24 hours before the theoretical departure date in order to check the availability of the pitch or rental accommodation and to pay the additional fee.

8 : Stay

Arrivals and departures

– For pitches:
Arrivals are from 3pm.
Pitches must be vacated by 11am at the latest.
– For rental accommodation:
Arrivals are from 4pm.
Rented accommodation must be vacated by 10.30am.
Late arrivals are possible under certain conditions and must be notified before 6 p.m. so that the campsite can make arrangements and inform the customer of the appropriate procedure.

Unused services

Any stay that is interrupted or shortened (late arrival, early departure), or in the event of no-show at the campsite due to the customer’s fault, will not give rise to any reimbursement of the service.

Security deposit

A security deposit of 150€ will be required from customers staying in rental accommodation on the day of their arrival at the campsite. This will be returned to the customer at the end of their stay and/or at the latest within a week by post from the date of departure, provided that the accommodation is returned in good condition and clean.
The campsite reserves the right to retain part or all of the deposit in the event of damage to the accommodation and/or missing equipment and/or cleaning costs if this has not been carried out correctly on departure.

Cleaning

On departure, the accommodation must be left in an appropriate state of cleanliness (fridge emptied and washed, floor cleaned, dishes washed, blankets put away, dustbins emptied, kitchens and bathrooms/WCs cleaned).
If the customer notices any anomalies on arrival, they must inform the campsite within 24 hours, so that it can take immediate steps to resolve the problem. Without this notification, no favourable response will be given to the complaint.
In the event of failure to comply with the obligation to return the accommodation in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the stay, the campsite reserves the right to charge the customer for cleaning costs, after giving the customer prior notice.

Cleaning service

Customers may opt for an end-of-stay cleaning service, for which they will be billed. The choice of this cleaning option does not relieve the customer of the obligation to maintain a minimum level of cleanliness in the accommodation by disposing of any rubbish and emptying the bins.

Liability

In accordance with current legislation (article 1952 of the French Civil Code), the sale of tourist holidays is not the responsibility of hoteliers.
Consequently, the campsite cannot be held liable for the loss, omission, theft or damage of personal belongings, particularly in the accommodation, on the pitch, in the communal areas and adjoining car parks.
The signatory and customer is responsible for the equipment hired. They must be able to provide proof of civil liability insurance.

Possible unavailability of certain services

The services and facilities offered (in particular the snack bar) may not be available throughout the season, in particular for climatic reasons or in the event of major difficulties.
Any unavailability of these services will not give rise to a refund or reduction in the price of the holiday.

Cancellation of the reservation contract

The booking contract will be cancelled at the customer’s expense in one of the following situations:
– If the customer does not arrive at the campsite on the start date of the stay, without justification or notification of arrival. The campsite will then consider that the customer has given up his or her accommodation. The total amount paid will be retained and no refund will be made.
– In the event of an offence, i.e. if the customer or accompanying persons break the rules set out in the Internal Rules or in the General Terms and Conditions of Sale.

9 : Internal regulations

The customer undertakes to read the Internal Regulations attached below. They acknowledge that these Rules and Regulations will govern their stay in addition to the GTCS. The customer undertakes to comply with them and to ensure that they are complied with by the persons residing with them and their visitors, who are under their responsibility.

10 : Visitors

Visitors are admitted to the campsite with the agreement of the manager and after paying the visitor fee. Visitors’ vehicles and dogs are not permitted on the campsite.

11 : Animals

Animals are accepted on the campsite (1 maximum and except 1st and 2nd category dogs) in return for a fee, per animal, payable at the time of booking, and subject to the conditions set out in the internal regulations mentioned below.

12: Authorisation to reproduce and distribute images

The campsite may take photographs and/or make videos for communication purposes in which the customer and the persons accompanying him/her are likely to appear. By accepting the GTC, the customer is presumed to authorise the campsite to use them for the aforementioned purposes. The customer or one of the persons accompanying him/her may request the withdrawal of the material in which he/she is recognisable at any time by sending a simple oral or written request to the campsite manager.

13 : Campsite contact details

For any information or question, the customer can contact the campsite at the following addresses:
E-Mail : contact@camping-cote-vercors.com
Telephone: 06 02 35 66 20

14 : Complaints – Disputes

Any complaint from a customer relating to a difficulty during the stay or to a non-conformity in the execution of the services of the contract, must be indicated promptly orally or in writing.

15: Applicable law and personal data

The GTC are governed by French law. They have been drafted in French and translated into various language versions. Any dispute or challenge to which they may give rise shall be brought before the French courts, regardless of the customer’s country of origin.
The processing of personal data that the campsite implements for booking purposes is governed by the Personal Data Protection Charter.
