The Palais idéal is a monument built by the postman Ferdinand Cheval between 1879 and 1912. A masterpiece of naive architecture, it has been listed as a historic monument since 1969.
The sublime roads of the Vercors
These roads are carved into the side of cliffs and offer breathtaking panoramas.
They are not recommended for motorhomes (you can hire a vehicle with delivery to the campsite).

Sports and nature

Canyoning, climbing, Via ferrata: these activities are very popular and numerous in the Vercors.
History, culture
Pont-en-Royans
9 km from the campsite (10 min)
Voted the most beautiful village in Isère, with its hanging houses, colourful facades and waterfalls. A very pleasant walk along the banks of the Bourne.
Visit to the Water Museum (museum and restaurant).
Saint-Antoine-l’Abbaye
19 km from the campsite, 20 min
Abbey church, medieval streets, museum. This village is listed as one of the ‘most beautiful villages in France’.
Resistance Memorial
Vassieux en Vercors, 38 km from the campsite (45 min).
The Vercors was a hotbed of resistance during the Second World War. The memorial was built at an altitude of 1,300 metres and offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the massif. The tour takes visitors to the heart of the Resistance in the Vercors.
