Saint-Nazaire-en-Royans is a charming village in the Drôme, at the gateway to the Vercors Regional Nature Park, between Valence and Grenoble. Formerly a fortified town, this picturesque village offers an exceptional setting where nature and history meet in harmony. Visitors can stroll through the village streets and admire the medieval architecture, including the Tour Delphinale.
The heart of Saint-Nazaire-en-Royans is just a few minutes’ walk from the campsite, which can be reached in just 10 minutes, and is home to a number of shops and must-see tourist sites. The aqueduct, the Grotte de Thaïs, the Bateau à Roue and the 13th-century church are places not to be missed by lovers of heritage and nature.

Just a 5-minute walk away, the Proxi supermarket offers a wide range of fresh produce and regional products, as well as bread, pastries and newspapers. A number of hiking and cycling trails run through Saint-Nazaire-en-Royans.
- This is the case, for example, with the ‘au fil de la Bourne’ itinerary: you can cycle along the Bourne as far as Rencurel on a 33km signposted footpath.
- Also leaving from the campsite, but this time by bike, you can join the V63, a 230km greenway cycle route that passes through Saint-Nazaire-en-Royans and crosses Savoie, Drôme and Isère. The V63 also links up with the Via Rhôna.
